বনাঞ্চল আৰু প্ৰাকৃতিৰ পাৰিপাৰ্শ্চিকতা ৰক্ষাৰ বাবে বাহাল থকা সকলো ধৰণৰ প্ৰচলিত আইনৰ প্ৰতি অসন্মান প্ৰদৰ্শন কৰি চৰকাৰী পৃষ্ঠপোষকতাতেই আজি বহু বছৰ ধৰি চলি আহিছে এই অবৈধ কয়লা খনন।

এই নিৰ্মোহ সত্য উম্মোচিত হৈছে মহামান্য গুৱাহাটি উচ্চ ন্যায়ালয়ৰ যোৱা ৩০/৩/২০২৩ তাৰিখৰ ৰায়ত ৷ আনৰ লগতে শিক্ষাবিদ শ্ৰীবসন্ত ডেকাৰ এক ৰাজহুৱা স্বাৰ্থজড়িত আবেদন (PIL 36/2020)ৰ শুনানী গ্ৰহণ কৰি মুখ্য ন্যায়ধীশ সঞ্জীৱ মেহতা আৰু ন্যায়ধীশ সুমন শ্যামৰ খণ্ড বিচাৰপীঠে বনাঞ্চলখনত অদ্যপৰিমিত চলি থকা অবৈধ কয়লা খনন বন্ধ কৰিবলৈ চৰকাৰ আৰু বিভাগীয় কৰ্তৃপক্ষক নিৰ্দ্দেশ দি অহা ২৭ এপ্ৰিল তাৰিখে পৰৱৰ্তী শুনানীৰ দিন ধাৰ্য্য কৰে।

অতি উল্লেখযোগ্য কথাটো হ'ল যে শুনানীত ক'ল ইণ্ডিয়াই ইমান দিনে অবৈধভাৱে খনন চলোৱাটো ওলাই পৰে।

মাননীয় আদালতৰ নিৰ্দ্দেশটো হুবহু দাঙি ধৰা হ'ল:

'Be that as it may, undisputedly it is the obligation of MoEF & CC in collaboration with the State Government to ensure that illegal mining activities are not carried out within the State of Assam which is home to the pristine forests which are virtually the lungs of the earth. Thus, we direct that the concerned officials of the Central Government, in collaboration with the responsible officers of the Assam State Government, shall ensure that the mining activities being undertaken by the Coal India Ltd. shall not be allowed unless the conditions mentioned in the aforequoted letter are satisfied. Immediate steps shall also be taken to ensure that all illegal mining activities in the area in question are stopped forthwith.'
